    Today Show star? We'll see...
So at the hotel we have a contract with American Girl, like one of the few in Chicago who does where they get a the people get a special rate if they want the American Girl package and all that- they get a special bed to take home for their doll and an amenity of a girl size cupcake and a doll size cupcake with a chocolate picture frame (miniature) with the American Girl logo....anyway, the Today Show, or rather lackeys that work for them here in Chicago came into the hotel to promote this package for the show, or at least get footage about the hotel and the package.  They recorded my boss setting up the amenity over and over and we were in the background decorating these cupcakes, not looking at the camera (he told us not to look at the camera like 5 times) over and over.  We decorate them by piping the frosting into a flower on the top.  It took like half an hour to do and they were late on top of it...showed up at 2:15 instead of 1:30 like they were supposed to.  Pushed our whole day back, especially since we had a massive plate up for 550 people with the most involved dessert we do.  We started it at 3 and finished at about 7.  Anyway, with the amenities, we decorated enough cupcakes for about 10 of these things and they all ended up in the garbage because we didn't think that we needed any for today and we can't save them, or rather didn't want to.  Well at about 6:45 one of the outlet managers comes into the shop and said, " You are probably going to hate me but I need an American Girl amenity, the Front Desk is calling for one...they actually wanted it about 5 hours ago." What!!! At this point the shop is a mess from the plate up and of course the whipped cream I put away earlier was used on a cake.  Luckily there was just enough left in the piping bag for me to color and and pipe these two little cupcakes, I mean just enough...I was scraping the bag to get all the frosting out.  So to sum it up, I might be on the Today Show ( I had to tell my boss about 5 times, no exaggeration, what show they were taping for) sometime this month for a small segment with no sound, about this amenity if they decide to run the segment and use the footage.  We will find out in the next two weeks or so if and when it will be on. I will be in the background but national tv is national tv, right?

On another note, something that has been bothering me...why is it so hard for women to get everything IN the toilet? I mean seriously...are sprinkles on the seat necessary? There are those covers for the seat, no need to hover...and if you do miss, can't you clean up after yourself? That is all.

We have a new puppy!! He is only about 3 months old and he is absolutely adorable. Jess, you'd like him, hes a little dog. He is a rescue dog that my dad found on the internet and the site said that he is half border collie half jack russell terrier (like Eddie, the dog on Frasier)hes got a black body, white neck, and a combo face, (brown, black, and some white) I have already started taking pictures, but as I am a live journal novice, I'm not exactly sure how to post them. Oh! and his name is Gizmo. My sister named him. He does look a little like a Gizmo, ever see Gremlins? You know the cute one, with the ears that stick out? (before they get wet and fed after midnight?) Well this Gizmo's ears stick out too. He is getting more curious every day, but he is a good dog. Hasn't messed in the house, and last night slept thru the night without waking us up to go outside...hes pretty much housebroken too. Ok,I'm going to bed.

    Try it....
So....I guess its posting time...no more classes but that by no means does that mean I am done. Still gotta finish my portfolio, write my senior sem paper, study for Garvey's art history final, and do the now take home exam for my history class. PLUS I have to finish my law school applications which at this point is just starting/finishing my personal statement which I want done by next week or at least a outline with ideas or something for the guy at the career center to look at. I just want to relax as I am very tense with all that I have done, will do....ehh it will all be done soon right?

Well on another note, go to this site and get a free ipod. http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=14456791 supposedly it really works you just have to complete an offer like apply for a credit card (which you don't have to use and can just cancel when you get it) I tried it and we will see if it works...if not no loss right? But go to the site and at least check it out..what can it hurt?

Yesterday did not feel like my birthday...I still had to go to work and I spent another 4 hours at the library with my group for history. My sister came down...actually drove in that horrible snow that we had. The drive usually takes 1.5 hours at the most and it took her over 4. I feel loved :-D I cant believe I am 22...it still hasn't sunk in yet. I guess it will eventually. Ashley's gift to me was that she bought me dinner...we went to Damon's which was pretty much desserted. Go figure. So yeah. I guess as u get older, birthday's get less eventful? who knows...but thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

    Dear Santa...

    Dear Santa,

    This year I've been busy!

In May I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In August I turned [info]mauriposa in for farting in church (3 points). In June I bought porn for [info]sugar_spark (10 points). Last Friday I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In April I put money in [info]rosalia_raquel's expired parking meter (14 points).

Overall, I've been nice (345 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

    Sincerely,
